Is this a parody, or just a rip-off?
I don’t quite get this, I’m afraid.
I mean, the original poster this is based on was a famous punk poster first printed in a Stranglers fanzine in 1976.
The chords in the original were A, E, and G, not ‘D’ as stated here, with the legend “This is a chord, this is another, this is a third. NOW FORM A BAND” inscribed, as can be seen here
(best image I could find of it, not having a copy of John Savage’s England’s Dreaming to hand, where apparently it’s reproduced)
Anyone clue me in on this? Parody? Or tame rip-off?
And why ‘D’ now instead of ‘E’?
